To export order data, start by selecting which orders to export.
- Log in to the cart admin
- Click on Orders in the top menu bar
- You can select the orders you want to export in one of three ways:
- Export all orders in the current folder. No action is required. Under "Manage Orders," the current folder you are in is highlighted (e.g., New, Pending, Processed, etc.). Click on any other folder to export order data from that folder.
- Export orders from search results. Use the top or bottom search boxes to find orders by date, email, etc. The orders found by searching will be exported.
- Export selected orders. Check the checkboxes next to all orders you'd like to export.
- At the bottom of the orders list, use the "Action" dropdown box to select "Export orders to a CSV file."
- If use status levels, you can use the "Status" dropdown box to limit exported orders to specific status levels.
- Use the last dropdown box to select "Apply to selected orders," if you decided to check off each order you want to export, or "Apply to all orders in..." to export all orders in the current folder or search results.
- Click the "Go" button.
Next, use the field settings page to set the fields to include in exported orders.
- "1" next to "Bill To - First Name"
- "2" next to "Bill To - Last Name"
- "3" next to "Bill To - Email"
Leave all other boxes empty. Your exported orders will look like this:
"John","Doe","johndoe@example.com"
"Jane","Doe","janedoe@example.com"
Include the items ordered. At the bottom of the field settings page, you can optionally select if you want to include the item data (the items your customers ordered) and how you want that formatted.
Click the "Download" button.
TIP: If you know you'll be downloading order data frequently, we recommend exporting orders daily. Export orders in the New folder. Then, move those orders to the Pending or Processed folder. This will let you easily keep track of orders you've already downloaded.
If you are trying to download thousands of orders, it likely won't work. Browsers will timeout before the process has completed. It's best to use the search tool to download 6 months to a year at a time.
