Customer Login

The Customer Login settings can be found in the Shopping Cart Administration Area under Settings > General Settings > Customer Login.

Customer Login allows your customers to create a password protected account. On future orders, your customers will have the option to sign-in on the shopping cart page. Customers with accounts enjoy the following benefits:

• Address fields are automatically filled in on future orders.
• Customers can review their order history.
• Customers can add older orders to their account (orders placed before creating an account).

To Enable Customer Login

1. Click on Settings > General Settings > Customer Login.
2. Check the Enable Customer Login box.
3. Click the Save button.

NOTE: If Customer Login is enabled, your customers will still always have the choice to order without creating an account or signing in.

To Disable Customer Login

1. Click on Settings > General Settings > Customer Login.

2. Check one of the following options:

   Disable Customer Login but recall customer addresses from cookies. Your customers will not have the option to create an account or sign in but their billing and shipping address will be saved to a cookie (a file on their computer). On future orders, the shopping cart will use the cookie to automatically fill in address fields.

   Disable Customer Login and recalling customer addresses from cookies. Your customers will not have the option to create an account or sign in. In addition, billing and shipping address information will not be saved to or read from a cookie. Returning customers will always have to re-enter their address information.

3. Click the Save button.
